The much anticipated Doctor Who Convention will come to Cardiff in
March 2012 and it has been described as 'the ultimate Doctor Who

RHS Flower Show
Bute Park, Cardiff
20 - 22 April 2012
The RHS show season starts here in the magnificent Bute
Park against the backdrop of Cardiff Castle. The show
provides an inspirational display of vibrant gardening, floral
delights and expert advice.

Open Air Theatre
The Lord Chamberlain's Men present Macbeth
Cardiff Castle
6 - 7 July
The grounds of Cardiff Castle are the spectacular setting for this
adaptation of Shakespeare's classic Macbeth. A wonderful evening's
entertainment is in store with this Lord Chamberlains Men
production.

Cardiff International Food & Drink Festival
Cardiff Bay
6 - 8 July
Cardiff Bay becomes a hive of activity as the
International Food and Drink Festival returns to Roald Dahl Plass.
The festival will be packed with stalls offering all manner of food
and drink including farmhouse cheeses, handmade chocolates and
specialist liqueurs. There'll also be plenty of demonstrations,
workshops and family friendly entertainment.

Wales Millennium Centre
9 - 14 July
Yet another big West End musical takes to the Wales Millennium
Centre stage. Chicago is based on real life events back in the
roaring 1920s, nightclub singer Roxie Hart shoots her lover and
along with Cell Block rival, double-murderess Velma Kelly, they
fight to keep from death row with the help of smooth talking
lawyer, Billy Flynn. Group discounts available.

Sister Act

24 July - 4 August 2012
The West End and Broadway musical 'Sister Act' will make
its Welsh debut when it arrives at Wales Millennium Centre for a
12-day run as part of its first ever UK tour.

Olympic Football

Cardiff welcomes the London 2012 Olympic Games football
tournament. The GB women's team will begin the tournament on
Wednesday 25 July - the first day of Olympic action - at the

Merthyr Rock

Cyfarthfa Castle for the annual Merthyr Rock festival. The 2011
